Aug 27, I Did It - Upgraded to Windows Vista

I knew it was going to be a matter of time. I needed a new computer and I knew I couldn't get Windows XP without placing a special order. I received the Windows Vista Home Premium edition installed and after spending a few days on it, I actually like it - so far. I've noticed right away that the 'look' of this operating system is different. I will say that it's 'better-looking' than Windows XP. It's also very easy and quicker to install new software and hardware devices that you want to attach to your computer. My verdict is: so far, so good. I'll add more thoughts as I spend more time with it.

May 16, Rent or Own Your Computer?

There are many companies offering rent or lease to own equipment such as computers, appliances, electronics and furniture.

They try and appeal to those with poor credit and/or those that can't afford to purchase their own computer - well, I have news for you: You can OWN your computer!

Aaron's Sales & Rental, Rent-A-Center, etc. offer used desktop and laptop computers and printers anywhere from $20-40 a week or they offer monthly payment plans.

Instead of saving money, you will end up paying out MORE money than what the actual computer is worth. And in most cases, the computer are used - by someone else who could no longer afford to pay their high prices.

Do not waste your money by renting or leasing a computer, save your money and buy a computer and it will be yours to keep.
